Wedding beauty prep guide and tips

Laurie & Pete

Wedding can be pretty overwhelming. Multiple things to think and organise in advance! This article will help you as a mini beauty guide to do the right steps at the right time. I obviously won’t talk about the event prep unless that concerns the beauty section :)

Few months before the Wedding:

  • First you need to chose a dress and accessories in which you feel great.

  • Start look up for some hair and make up ideas on pinterest (I strongly recommend to create an account and pin your favorite pictures into your wall. Chose as many as you want even though they are different styles as your stylist will guide you and help you to chose the right look.)

  • Book a few consultations with some Hair/make up artists and bring the ideas that you have in mind.

  • Book a trial. It’s very important to do a trial to make sure the stylist understand your vibe and that you feel good in your skin.

4 to 6 weeks before:

  • Trim the tips and do a deep treatment such as Olaplex

  • Get extensions done if necessary (if you want long hair or more thickness for your wedding day)

Trial day! Try out hair and make up styles that you have in mind. I don’t recommend to do it earlier because you may change your mind in term of styling!

1 to 2 weeks before:

  • Get a color touch up / Highlights to make sure you color looks fresh and the greys are gone !

  • Confirm all your beauty/hair bookings in advance to make sure everything is right

2 to 5 few days before:

  • Get your nails done by a proffesional

  • Lashes/tan/epilation

  • Massage/facial is really good to release all the tensions and give your skin a glow up

  • Get a mini hairspray, few pins for the day D.

24h before:

  • Wash your hair (it’s very important to not wash your hair on the day D as the grips wont hold as much!)

  • Skin care: scrub, face mask

  • Healthy food and plenty of water

Tips for your trial day:

  • Bring the photos that you pinned for hair and make up as well as your dress.

  • Bring the accessories you may wear (hair accessories/veil and jewerlies)

  • Be honest with your stylist. Tell them your vibe, what wedding you expect, and If you don’t love one look or aren’t sure, just tell them so they can arrange it or propose something different

  • Make sure that the wedding day is booked at the right time (tell them what time you have to be ready!)

Hopefully this article will help you understanding the important steps to follow in what order to apply ;) Of course if you have any question you can always what’s app me or email me, I will make sure to reply ASAP!

Have a lovely day,

Lena xxx
